Swansea Cottages has been developed over a number of years opening in 1991 specifically to cater for both the visiting tourist and holiday maker. This unique tourist accommodation complex, set out like a small village and surrounded by expansive cottage gardens, comprises 5 - 2 bedroom cottages which are all self contained. There is also a 3 bedroom/ 2 storey luxury Spa Cottage with a 2 person spa beside the queen size bed. We also cater for overnight and short stays in our suites in Sherbourne Lodge. Much more than a motel room, cabin, chalet or a B&B.
These are available as double, family and spa suites. and contain a wide variety of features to make your accommodation and stay as comfortable as possible.
These suites contain pillow top queen sized bed, small kitchenette with microwave, jug, toaster, coffee plunger, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuites as well as a comprehensive range of guest amenity portions including shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser and bath gel for family rooms with a bath. These suites also contain a dining suite and settee to relax of an evening.

Our cottages are all fully self contained and available in 1,2 and 3 bedroom configurations. All kitchens are comprehensively equipped as well as having a dishwasher. Full laundry facilities are available in each cottage. Guests staying in a suit can make an arrange to use our guest laundry for a small charge.
Tennis Courts and rackets as well as fishing rods and bicycles are available for hire.

Swansea Cottages accommodation is located in the historic seaside town of Swansea, Tasmania(c1821), adjacent the main beach, 30 minutes from Freycinet National Park and just over 90 minutes from Hobart and Launceston. From Swansea, the towns of Bicheno, Coles Bay, St Helens, Port Arthur, Richmond, Triabunna, Local Wineries and the ferry to Maria Island National Park are close by.
With beach and tennis courts adjacent (no roads to cross), stroll to shops, a diverse range of exciting and enticing restaurants and attractions including the award winning Swansea Barkmill Museum, Shop and Tavern (50m) , Gallery 19, the acclaimed Bear Cottage Craft Shop and the world renowned Kate's Berry Farm.
Whether beach combing, sunbaking on our many pristine beaches, fishing, viewing Shearwater and Fairy Penguins come ashore each evening, cycling (yes we also have bicycles available) be as active or passive as you wish.
