Once we place you in the best property, we complement your stay with a range of bespoke in-house, activity and transport services.
In-house we will provide you with an experienced cook/chef who will prepare a fully or part catered stay - based on your individual tastes and requirements. We use the finest and freshest produce from Scotland's larder - Aberdeen Angus beef, hand dived West Coast Scallops, Speyside smoked salmon, highland venison, fresh Perthshire fruits and berries and cheese from the islands - just a few things to tempt you.
Of course, whilst in Scotland, you must sample our most famous export - Whisky!
We can also provide our guests with all wines and spirits during your stay with expect advise provided on wines to complelemt your meals, or feel free to request wines and champagnes that we will try to source on your behalf.

Policies

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

CANCELLATIONS
If, through circumstances beyond your control, you are compelled to cancel your Holiday, you should immediately notify Highland Lodges and confirm the cancellation in writing immediately. If cancellation is made more than 60 days before the “commencement date”, only the deposit will be lost. If cancellation is made within 60 days of the “commencement date”, customers will NOT be entitled to ANY refund of monies paid and also become liable for any unpaid balance due at that time.

YOUR BOOKING
You must be 18 years or over when making your booking.

Highland Lodges reserve the right to refuse any booking prior to issuing any confirmation in writing. When you receive your Booking Confirmation you must check all the details carefully for accuracy and contact Highland Lodges immediately if you find any discrepancy.
Upon receipt of a Booking Form, Highland Lodges will put together a unique package and itinerary to meet all your needs. Upon agreement and acceptance of your package Highland Lodges will reserve this package for a period of 14 days, within this time you must return your signed Agreement to the Terms & Conditions and make payment of the Deposit. Deposit (this will be either per person or at a rate of 30 % of the total package) - (these sums of money are referred to hereafter as the “Deposit”). If after the 14 days Highland Lodges have received no further directive, or response they will deem the booking to be cancelled.

Upon receipt of a completed Booking Form, signed Agreement and the Deposit or full payment, you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and their application to your chosen accommodation and package. (This will be referred to hereafter as the “Holiday”)
Highland Lodges will accept payment in the form of Cheque (made payable to HIGHLAND LODGES), Card Payment or bank transfer, details of the account will be provided. Please note that any payments made by credit card will be subject to a 2.5% charge and AMEX at a rate of 3.75%.

The “Booking Confirmation” and advice of amount due will be sent out to you along with, where applicable, a planned itinerary confirming accommodation, travel and activity arrangements. This will be sent upon receipt of the completed Booking Form, signed Agreement and payment of Deposit. A contract will exist once Highland Lodges issue a Booking Confirmation to you. Full documents, including any additional relevant information, will be sent to you upon receipt of the balance of full payment.
The balance of payment is due not later than 60 days before the first day of the Holiday (the first day of the holiday being “the Commencement Date”). This date will be detailed on the Booking Confirmation. If full payment is not made within the said period of 60 days, the booking will be deemed to be cancelled. In the event that you make your booking for the Holiday within 60 days of the Commencement Date, you are required to make full payment when submitting the Booking Form to Highland Lodges.

PRICES
Prices quoted are as a total (quotes per person on request) for the duration of the holiday.
INCLUSIONS IN PACKAGE
* Round-trip transportation between your designated Arrival and Departure meeting point in Scotland and your holiday accommodation. (if required and included in your package)
* Meals - including breakfast, 4 course Dinner in the evening, all snacks, tea, coffee, and soft drinks. Lunch can be provided or arranged as outlined in your itinerary.
* Private House/Lodge Accommodation with exclusive use.
* Transport to and from all planned excursions. (if included and required)
* Activities and Excursions as detailed in itinerary.
* An experienced guide / tutor (where appropriate) for any activities undertaken.
EXCLUSIONS TO PACKAGE
* Round-trip transportation between home city and designated Arrival meeting and Departure point in Scotland.
* Outdoor footware and basic outdoor (waterproof) clothing.
* Wine and alcoholic beverages (these can be purchased by Highland Lodges with the total bill invoiced to you)
* Gratuities.

ALTERATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
Highland Lodges will make every effort to provide the Holiday once you have made a booking. Highland Lodges do, however, reserve the right to make minor amendments to the Holiday and will inform you as soon as possible of any such amendments. It is hoped that no cancellations or amendments need to be made to your booking in anyway, however, as unforeseen problems do occur, Highland Lodges will contact you immediately to discuss any proposed cancellation or adjustment. If the circumstances affect your desired location, lodge or activities, Highland Lodges will endeavour to find you an alternative and similar location, lodge or activities at a relative rate. If this alternative is unacceptable to you, we will refund your original payment.
CHANGES TO BOOKING MADE BY YOU
Should you wish to change or amend your reservation once Highland Lodges have issued their Booking Confirmation, within reason, Highland Lodges will try to accommodate the changes where possible. In the event that the changes are not possible to accommodate, Highland Lodges will inform you of this as soon as possible. In this case Highland Lodges may have to treat the booking as a cancellation which would then be subject to the cancellation policy.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
All descriptions of the Service are published in good faith and are accurate at the time of going to press. However please note that changes can occur. Any complaints or criticisms about the Holiday must be taken up with Highland Lodges immediately and within 24 hours of the time of the difficulty or shortcoming becoming apparent. If capable of remedy, Highland Lodges will use all reasonable endeavours to remedy the difficulty or shortcoming. If you remain dissatisfied, you must write to Highland Lodges within 7 days of the last day of the Holiday with which you are dissatisfied. Highland Lodges will then use reasonable endeavours to further investigate the complaint and will report back to you with any offer of redress which Highland Lodges in their sole discretion deem to be appropriate in the circumstances.
RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY
Highland Lodges reserve the right to require all or any persons to leave their premises, without refund, which they consider to be in breach of these conditions. This includes persons who cause a nuisance or damage to premises or conduct themselves in an offensive or disorderly manner. In such an event Highland Lodges will not be liable for making any payment to you and will retain all monies paid.
ACCOMMODATION
Any contract made by Highland Lodges and their customers in terms of accommodation provided is NOT of landlord and tenant. Accommodation is provided purely as a “Holiday Let” in accordance with the Rents Act. The number of guests permitted to stay in any Highland Lodges accommodation shall not exceed the maximum number of persons as stated on the Booking Form.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers of Highland Lodges are obliged to take reasonable care of any accommodation provided. If undue care or damage to any of the properties arises, Highland Lodges reserves the right to make an additional charge for cleaning costs or damage repair.
RISK
In so far as may be permitted by law, no responsibility will be accepted by Highland Lodges, or any of their agents whomsoever for any injury, accident or damage to persons or property, or loss or theft thereof arising howsoever or wherever, other than in the case of the fault or negligence of either Highland Lodges or their employees or agents.
OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Highland Lodges accept reasonable responsibility for their customers from the “Commence Date / Time” until the “Departure Date / Time”.
Highland Lodges shall not be or become liable or responsible in any way for loss, injury or damage to or in respect to any person or property during activities provided by other service providers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Baggage and personal effects, including items purchased, are the sole responsibility of the owners at all times. Persons travelling to, from or in the UK prior to or after these dates do so at their own risk and discretion.
FORCE MAJEURE
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that, the Holiday arranged for you for the period specified on the Booking Confirmation, is done so in good faith, if it should be or become impossible due to circumstances beyond the control of Highland Lodges or their providers, you shall be entitled to a refund of not more than the amount paid by you for the Holiday. In particular, but without limitation, Highland Lodges cannot, at any time, accept responsibility for any losses, injuries, inconvenience or expenses caused to you by acts of terrorism, war, riots, industrial action, floods, fires, delays or weather conditions or the threat of any of these.
INDEMNITY
You will indemnify Highland Lodges against loss and damage or injury sustained to property or persons as a result of any breach of these conditions by or arising through the fault of you or any member of your party.
VISAS AND PASSPORTS
Any non-British Citizens are required to make their own arrangements to ensure that they have current passports and any required visas to visit the United Kingdom.
HEALTH
There are no special health requirements for anyone travelling to any destinations in Scotland. All non-British Citizens should seek their own guidance prior to arrival to ensure that they are aware of any appropriate health requirements.
DATA PROTECTION ACT - PRIVACY STATEMENT
Information requested by Highland Lodges in terms of these conditions will only be used by Highland Lodges for the purpose of providing you with the Holiday, updating customer records, or contacting you directly for marketing and research purposes. Only relevant information will be passed on to agents used to provide services in connection with your Holiday.
HOLIDAY & TRAVEL INSURANCE
We expect you to arrange your own insurance prior to leaving home.
When you book your Holiday with Highland Lodges you may be required to travel by sea or air to reach your Accommodation. Now and again things can go wrong, for example, fog can result in cancelled or delayed flights, or severe weather can affect the timings of your ferry.
For all Highland Lodges Holidays, we strongly recommend that you take out your own full Insurance, covering risks such as cancellation and delay.

LAW
Save as otherwise provided herein, these terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law and the parties hereby propagate the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
